All our students have access to our atelier, but for our fashion students it will become like a second home. Now making waves across the fashion world, our talented graduates first learnt their craft here under the guidance of our expert team.

Our atelier team has worked with everyone from international designers to high-profile celebrities, on fashion shows and shoots across the globe. They have honed their skills working at the highest level of the fashion spectrum and will provide advice and support on any project you are working on.
Whether you are working with knitwear, leather, denim, fine fabrics or intricate embroidery, the atelier environment is fully-equipped to support you.

At Ravensbourne, we work in ideas. If you can imagine it, we can help bring it to life. To help inspire you, we have a vast library of manufacturing samples and a library of blocks and patterns to use as a starting point for your creations.

- Flatbed lockstitch machines
- Overlockers: 4 and 3 thread overlocker and a baby over locker
- Cover stitch machines: for working with knit and stretch fabrics
- Felling machine: for hems
- Electronic and keyhole buttonholes machine
- Electronic bar tack machine
- Twin needle machine: for denim and heavy fabrics
- Cylinder arm machine: for leather and accessories
- Post Bed machine: for leather, accessories and quilting/embroidery
- Skiving machine: for leather work
- Walking foot machine: for leather, accessories and heavy fabrics
- Bernina electronic machines: for very fine work and embroidery
- Janome domestic machines
- Ratchet press and dies: for application of buttons, rivets and poppers
