If you want to enter the creative or media industries then studying in London is a massive bonus. We would often travel around the city to various studios for talks and tours, which was very inspiring”
London life
You want your child to broaden their horizons and find a home away from home. At Ravensbourne, they will collaborate with likeminded creatives from over 90 different countries in our award-winning creative hub. Within its walls lives a community teeming with energy and creativity.
It’s impossible for your child not to be inspired by the passionate minds, bright lights and rich culture that surround them, allowing them to reach their full potential as learners, workers and global citizens. Your child will have the freedom to be themselves, find their unique voice and fulfil their creative destiny.
Exceptional transport links will not only give them easy access to a tremendous city, it will also make it easier for you to reach them. Hop on the Jubilee Line from North Greenwich to Oxford Street and they’ll be in central London in just 20 minutes, where they can sample the city's rich heritage.
There’s a bustling social and entertainment scene too. Westfield Shopping Centre, the largest shopping centre in Europe, is just 10 minutes away, while there is a plethora of art galleries, theatres, live music events, exhibitions and museums. The only drawback is: when you visit them, you won't want to leave!
Our locale
Our locale
Within Ravensbourne's immediate vicinity, you will find a wealth of food places, modern technology and illustrious shops and brands. The world-famous O2 Arena is literally next door. It’s not just a music venue either; Ravensbourne students get 20% off a diverse range of eateries inside the building.
Many students live along the riverside in North Greenwich and we work with several accommodation partners to help our students find a great place to live.
Award-winning building
On the Greenwich Peninsula and swathed in a mosaic of 28,000 gleaming tiles, our home makes a real statement – just like our students.
Designed by Farshid Moussavi in 2010, the Ravensbourne building has been hailed as a masterclass in functional design and public art, claiming the RIBA award for best Higher Education building in 2011.
Adjacent to Ravensbourne, The Institute for Creativity and Technology, set to open its doors in 2021, takes pride of place in the Design District, London's new work space for the Creative Industries.
testimonial
Ravensbourne had always stood out as a hub for innovation and technology. The location of the campus was very appealing and the building itself very inspiring. It’s a perfect space to socialise and integrate”
Campus life
The Ravensbourne Student Union (RSU) is the mouthpiece for our students in the local area, representing them on all matters affecting life and education, whilst helping to manage a packed calendar of welfare, social, cultural and sporting activities.
You can learn more about the RSU and your child’s wellbeing and support network, which is part of our dedicated parents’ section.
tesimonial
When I started Ravensbourne, I was extremely anxious as it was my first time attending higher education and studying in London. However, the students and faculty made me feel like I was at home and the positive attitudes and mindsets made me realise I had nothing to worry about”

Facilities quote
Any Fashion student will tell you that you should spend all of your waking hours on campus. [In the prototyping rooms] you have access to an array of fabric printing facilities as well as laser cutting and 3D printing. I loved experimenting with these different design mediums. Not only is it really fun but it brings you up to speed on modern technology you may encounter in industry.”
