Digital Film Production enjoy first class results!
Congratulations are in order for a number of our BA (Hons) Digital Film Production students whose hard work and determination in the midst of the pandemic earned them first class degrees!
The BA (Hons) Digital Film Production course at Ravensbourne teaches students how to create engaging shorts, features, commercials and documentaries using state of the art equipment. The highly regarded course equips students with a deep understanding of the entire production journey and prepares them to enter the industry post studies. This year, students achieved a large number of first class results which is an astonishing outcome!
A number of students used their social media to share the joy of receiving their results after the completion of their degrees. Evelina Zilobaite who studied Digital Film and Production said, “I am so happy I got to go to my dream university where I learnt so much, met amazing students and lecturers, and have done some amazing things!” Ravensbourne students enjoy a high employment rate post studies, and this was mentioned by fellow student Noah Stratton-Twine who shared on his LinkedIn profile, “It's been a fun and invigorating three years, but now I look forward and ahead to future prospects in this exhilarating industry.”
The fantastic results have created a sense of pride and fulfilment within the 2020 cohort of students. Diana Vassalio shared, “So happy to announce I have graduated from Ravensbourne University London with a first class degree in Digital Film Production! Very proud of myself and extremely thankful for everyone that has been on this journey with me.” While fellow student Monica Georgieva said, “Congratulations to all other graduates, we pulled through against all odds this year and we should be very proud of ourselves.”
Digital Film Production wasn’t the only course to receive outstanding grades this results day, other courses such as BA (Hons) Advertising and Brand Design, BA (Hons) Animation, BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion, BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Brand Management and BA (Hons) Architecture also achieved excellent first class results.
Annette Gathingo studied Architecture and was initially hesitant to attend Ravensbourne at first, “I relinquished some big names that I had applied to, to obey the advice of professionals in the construction industry who advised me to go to Ravensbourne University London” she says. Now having achieved first class honors, Annette says “today is a confirmation that I have found my true purpose on this earth, to design and build sustainably for this and the next generation. It's a challenge I’m willing to take on.”
To achieve such amazing results over a large number of courses is a true testament to the students who persevered through an incredibly challenging academic year. Our academic staff quickly adapted to online learning, delivering the remainder of the course under incredibly pressured circumstances. We’re especially proud of how our community has worked together to achieve these results and thank them for their hard work. Congratulations to the class of 2020!
