Ravensbourne hosts the PG degree show as part of London Design Festival
Last week, Ravensbourne hosted its Postgraduate Degree Show at the Ugly Duck in London Bridge. The show was included as part of the London Design Festival for the second year running, an event which "celebrates and promotes London as the design capital of the world".
'Critical Presence' showcased interdisciplinary design works, fashion and art installations from postgraduate students representing 18 different nations.
A range of work was exhibited including fashion projects highlighting issues such as gender equality, racial stereotyping and the erosion of localised manufacturing traditions, immersive virtual reality experiences, animatronic models intended for use in science fiction and 3D data visualisation projects. The exhibition explored the changing interaction between digital and physical media, and the impact this has on how we create artefacts and shape experiences.
