Geraint Cunnick MA(RCA) BA(Hons)
Biography
Geraint graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1990 and quickly established a reputation in advertising, fashion and fine art photography. He has exhibited his work in venues such as the Saatchi Gallery, The Photographer’s Gallery and The Arles Photography Festival and won the Fuji Young Photographer of the Year Award. As a result, his work is represented in international private and public collections.
He entered Higher Education in 2001 and helped develop the BA and MA photography content at the University of the Creative Arts, Rochester, before becoming Head of the Department for Fine Art and Photography at the University of Wales, Newport. He then joined the University of South Wales before joining Ravensbourne in 2016.
Geraint has served as the chair of the Association of Photographers’ Education Working Group and has previously advised the Welsh Assembly Government and Skill-Set England on Photographic Education. He is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Livery Company of Wales and often contributes to Welsh and English television and radio on matters relating to photography.
