Georgia White

Since graduation, Georgia has been working as Beauty Buying Assistant at John Lewis and Partners and has just been promoted to Assistant Buyer.

Georgia was attracted to the Fashion Promotion course at Ravensbourne because it offered her a variety of modules that she hadn’t seen elsewhere. She also loved the location as it meant she could easily visit different exhibitions and fashion hubs.

The facilities on campus, from filming equipment to access to raw materials, gave her the creative freedom to try different things and learn about different disciplines.

Discussing the opportunities she was given at Ravensbourne Georgia commented, ‘Without Ravensbourne, I wouldn’t be confident in my own creativity… I feel I can confidently turn my hand to a lot of creative projects due to vast range of topics and skills we covered while studying.’

Her advice to new students is to, ‘go above and beyond expectations to be noticed and appreciated when you’re starting out in your career in order to stand out. Never settle for the minimum requirements, anyone can do that.’
