Claire Russell
Biography
Claire Russell has worked in the film and television industry for over 25 years, starting with Walt Disney Studios in Los Angeles in the early 90s.
She transferred back to London as Development Executive for the new Disney Channels, working on award-winning children’s programmes, including a drama penned by Mark Haddon. She then moved to CBBC, where she developed teen dramas such as Cavegirl with Danny Peacock.
Following this, she relocated to the north as BBC Scotland started up the indigenous soap River City. Claire worked there for over a year before moving to STV as Development Executive, developing and script editing the new Rebus series starring Ken Stott.
Claire produced two dramas for World Productions (makers of Line of Duty) for C4 and Sky Drama. She has recently been producing for Holby City as well as script editing on feature films and TV dramas.
