Alumni stories: senior motion designer Seth Wallis

Welcome to our Alumni stories series, where we interview graduates about what Ravensbourne meant to them, where they are now, and what advice they can offer our new and current students.

Seth Wallis is a motion graphic designer who graduated from the BA (Hons) Motion Graphics course in 2015.
Since graduating, he has worked in a mixture of freelance and agency roles and is currently working as a senior motion designer at Born Social, a global social media agency based in London.
As well as being a skilful creative, he is also a member of award-winning ska reggae band Chainska Brassika. The nine-piece band have performed at massive festivals like Glastonbury and recorded an album at the famous Harry J Studio in Jamaica, where Bob Marley also recorded.
We caught up with him to discuss his own career journey and to hear his tips on how to become a successful motion designer.

There are a few people that I've kept in contact with from Ravensbourne and they are all doing really well – it's inspiring. Everyone's at different levels and have gone through different things. It's impressive to see the growth within people. ”
