Welcome information

To prepare for your semester one modules you should: 

• Familiarise yourself with the use of Unity and how to develop a VR or AR experience using your mobile phone.  
• Experiment with some web-based motion capture techniques  
• Start working on Python and explore the development environment 

Course equipment 

This course does not require specialist equipment other than a laptop.

Your first day on campus is Wednesday 22 May, please ensure you arrive on time. 

During this week it is important that you attend your enrolment session to complete your in-person enrolment and become an official Ravensbourne University Student. Following this you will be able to attend induction sessions which will cover key information about studying at Ravensbourne and being a successful student.

9:30: In-person enrolment 

10:30 - 12:00: International Induction (international students only), room 404/405

Thursday 23 May

14:00 - 17:00: Department Welcome, room 605

Friday 24 May

10:00 - 15:00: Course Induction, room 902

15:00 - 17:00: Welcome Social Event, level 4

All activities will take place at our main campus: Ravensbourne University London, 6 Penrose Way, London, SE10 0EW  

Your teaching starts in the week commencing Monday 27 May. In your first semester you will have three teaching sessions each week taking place between 9.30am - 5.00pm.

In addition to this you may be required to attend an English for Academic Purposes module during your first semester.

Due to the size and set up of your course it is not possible to share your timetable information prior to your enrolment. Once you have completed enrolment you can find out how to check your timetable here  

If you have any questions ahead of joining us, our online drop-in sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, 1.00pm - 2.00pm UK Time.
