Created by weareseventeen and Ravensbourne University, OPN Festival is a 2-day celebration of the thriving Motion Design industry, providing thought-provoking insights and discussion.

Taking place at Ravensbourne University, the festival exists to foster growth within our industry, converging the worlds of Motion Design and education.

Including an inspiring 2-day programme of talks from some of the most renowned and exciting moving image studios and individuals in the industry, OPN Festival will also host a series of free workshops (more information coming soon), a showcase of work from both professionals and undergraduates, and an illustration & design market of established and emerging creators and makers. There will also be lots of opportunity to network, along with DJs each evening and a pop-up bar.

Echoic Workshop

‘Managing Soundtracks’ – Presented by Producer Sion Williams, this workshop is a how-to guide for managing all things audio.
We know that the world of music and sound design can sometimes be tricky to navigate. This fun and interactive session will give you the necessary tools and confidence to guide yourself and your clients through the audio process.

You will learn how to manage a soundtrack smoothly from conception to delivery, understand how to bridge the gap between the client’s expectations and the perfect audio, learn the best practices for the audio process, and how to collaborate effectively with composers and sound studios. We’ll discuss the issues that regularly crop up and talk through an easy-to-understand summary of audio licensing. There will also be a myth-busting session, where we’ll clear up some of that jargon that often gets in the way.
