Concept and creative process
‘Omnibus’ was as an Arts programme broadcast on BBC One from 1967-2003. The programme was the successor to the long-running Arts strand ‘Monitor’. The brief for the titles was to represent the varied and diverse arts content from the past right up to present day. The sequence involved shooting a series of bespoke models, the principal icon being a raised hand. The face became the key motif for the series and was featured across posters, press-packs and invitations, printed on matt black paper with gloss black ink, gold and red.
Winner of a Broadcast Designers Association Silver Award 1990.
