Concept and creative process
An ident for the 1991 BBC1 Spring and Summer presentation campaign. A live action close-up shot of a child turning to face the sun dissolved to a high-angle shot of sun worshippers on the beach on '1' shaped sun loungers. Their prone bodies echoed the shape of the vertical counter inside the '1', thereby completing the illusion of the logo. Filmed in the studio at Cell Animation with Lighting Cameraman Doug Foster.
