Concept and creative process
An ident for BBC2 from 1990 featured a white horse and a Chinese boy filmed against a mottled grey continuous cyclorama to celebrate Chinese New Year. The boy throws a silk cover, on which is printed the Two logo, over the back of the horse and both the boy and the horse take a bow to camera. Tattooed on the horse’s hind quarters is the Chinese symbol for the Year of the Horse which was the symbol for the year 1990, when this ident was created.
